Biography: Massouma Ziai
From her earliest experience at the Montreux Jazz Festival and at the Montreux Tourist Office, she developed a broad expertise in project management, communications, fundraising and event development covering a wide-range of sectors from the leisure industry to media, from NGO communications to, as in her last mandate at Solar Impulse, Head of Events and Team Logistics.
Massouma brings support and know-how to projects from their early stage of development to the moment they get off the ground and reach their cruising speed. She offers her seasoned communication and organizational skills as well as her energy and industriousness.
She conceived and produced numerous events for Handicap International, including a ballet production « Mines : when instances last an eternity » and an exhibit of press drawings about anti-personnel mines « Minetoons » which was later developed into a series of TV clips. She also elaborated an exhibit on anti-personnel mines for the Swiss Confederation’s theme weeks at the Expo.02.
After joining the Hebdo magazine and the Ringier Romandie media group she developed and coordinated the presence of the group’s titles at the Salon du Livre de Genève (Geneva Book Fair), at the Salon de l’Etudiant (Student Fair in Lausanne) and at the Forum des 100 (Forum 100) which will celebrate its 10th edition in 2014.
She was part of the Solar Impulse project from 2009 to 2013. Initially “Head of Events and Partnerships” and later “Head of Events and Team Logistics” she coordinated relations and activities undertaken by the project’s partners as well as events organized by Solar Impulse. Moreover, she was responsible for team logistics during the mission flights in Switzerland and abroad.
Since 2014 she is global Event Manager for Swissquote Bank, and works also as Business developement, sponsoring, hospitality and Events creator for the Béjart Ballet Lausanne, Opus One and Handicap International Switzerland.
